The Obudu Local Government Area Council Chairman Hon Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, has ordered the immediate termination of revenue contract agreement, as well as the removal of all checkpoints within the Local Government.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Ikwen Atauka the chief Press Secretary to the chairman titled “Termination Of All Revenue Contracts And Checkpoints In Obudu Local Government Area “.

According to Ikwen the council’s director of finance and supplies is to take over temporarily until a new revenue point is set up for implementation.

“The Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye has approved the termination of all existing revenue contracts and agreements as well as the removal of all unauthorized checkpoints within the Local Government Area with immediate effect.

“In the interim, the Council Director Of Finance and Supplies has been directed to oversee all revenue collection activities and a new revenue structure is put in place for implementation.”-It reads.

The statement further directed security agencies in Obudu to enforce the removal of all illegal checkpoints. It also warned parents and guardians to advise their wards against violating the directives.
