The induction ceremony, which took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, brought together professionals and distinguished personalities from different sectors to celebrate excellence in leadership, management, and professional development.

Speaking after receiving the honour, Okor described the recognition as both humbling and a call to greater service.

He expressed gratitude to the institute for the recognition and noted that the honour reflects the impact of dedication, vision, and the collective support of his family and the people of Cross River State.

“I am truly humbled by this recognition. It is a testament to the power of hard work, vision, and the incredible support of my family, Cross Riverians in the diaspora, and the good people of Cross River State,” he said.

The CRIDCOM chairman dedicated the award to the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, whom he described as an inspiring leader committed to the development of the state.

Okor reaffirmed his commitment to promoting leadership excellence and contributing to the growth and development of Cross River, particularly in strengthening engagement with the state’s diaspora community.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Registrar of the institute, Abubakar Sadeeq Yusuf, said the institute remains committed to developing leaders capable of meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving world.

“At IMALE, our mission is to develop leaders who are prepared for the demands of a dynamic and evolving world. Through our professional programmes, leadership development initiatives, research engagement and international collaborations, we continue to create an ecosystem where knowledge meets practice and where professionals can thrive and excel,” he said.

Yusuf added that the induction ceremony reflects the institute’s growing credibility and urged the new fellows to uphold the values of character, competence and ethical leadership while serving as ambassadors of excellence in their various fields.
