Chief Dennis Nyong Effiong has extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu, following his appointment as a member of the management team of the Cross River Estate Limited (CREL). In a statement, Chief Effiong expressed his deep gratitude to the Governor for the trust and confidence bestowed upon him, emphasizing the importance of this strategic move for the state’s economic and developmental agenda.

Chief Effiong lauded the Governor for his visionary leadership in reclaiming the ownership of CREL, Uyanga – Akamkpa LGA. “Let me not labour you with the details of the state of the estate but this decisive action by Governor Otu is a testament to the age-old wisdom that only the owner of a property truly knows how to best care for it,” he remarked. “The state’s reclamation of the estate is a significant step towards restoring its former glory and unlocking its full potential for the benefit of all Cross Riverians.”

He noted that the decision to take back control of the estate reflects the Governor’s commitment to sustainable development and economic self-reliance. Chief Effiong praised the Governor for listening to the voice of reason and the collective aspirations of the people of Cross River State. “The Governor’s actions demonstrate a clear understanding of the critical role that state-managed enterprises play in fostering economic growth and stability,” he added.

Chief Effiong assured Governor Otu and the people of Cross River State of his unwavering dedication to his new role. He pledged to work diligently and collaboratively with the rest of the management team to implement strategies that will revitalize the estate. “Our primary goal is to transform the estate into a model of efficiency, productivity, and profitability,” he stated.

In his commitment to the task ahead, Chief Effiong highlighted the importance of harnessing local expertise and resources. “We will leverage the wealth of knowledge and experience within our state to ensure that the Cross River Estate Limited not only regains its past glory but exceeds it,” he said. “Our approach will be rooted in innovation, sustainability, and community involvement.”

Chief Effiong also emphasized the broader implications of the estate’s revival for the state’s economy. “The rejuvenation of the Cross River Estate Limited is poised to create numerous job opportunities, boost local industries, and enhance the state’s revenue base,” he noted. “This will significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of our state and improve the livelihoods of our people.”

He called on all stakeholders, including local communities, investors, and government agencies, to support the management team in achieving their ambitious goals. “We cannot do this alone; it requires a collective effort and the goodwill of all stakeholders to ensure the success of this initiative,” Chief Effiong urged.

In conclusion, Chief Effiong reaffirmed his commitment to serving the state with integrity and excellence. “I am deeply honoured by this appointment and remain steadfast in my dedication to advancing the interests of Cross River State,” he declared. “Together, we will build a brighter future for our estate and our people.”
