Pastor Bassey Etukidem, President of Sanctified Mount Zion Church, has urged Nigerians to embrace peace and unity during Christmas, emphasizing that the true meaning of the season is about spreading love, kindness, and generosity.
In his message, he encouraged Christians and Nigerians to reflect on the core values of Christmas, promoting reconciliation, forgiveness, and care for the marginalized.
He stressed that Christmas is a time for positive action, not just words, and called on individuals from all walks of life to do more good acts, citing the example of Jesus’ birth and the gifts given to Him.
“Let us not lose sight of the true significance of Christmas – a time to give up something for others’ sake, to remember those in need, and to spread joy and hope,” he said.
Pastor Etukidem also emphasized the importance of unity among Nigerians, saying, “As we celebrate this Christmas, let us prioritize peace, love, and understanding. Let us bridge the gaps that divide us and work towards a Nigeria where everyone feels valued and respected.”
He prayed for Nigerians to experience a season of peace, joy, and prosperity, and encouraged them to spread love and kindness to those around them.
The message was conveyed during a Christmas service at Sanctified Mount Zion Church, where Pastor Etukidem led congregants in prayers for national peace, prosperity, and unity.
The service featured hymns, prayers, and reflections on the significance of Christmas in Nigeria.
