In a critical stakeholders’ meeting held in Akamkpa, the Chairman charged the heads of various security units to remain proactive and dedicated to their duties, stressing that complacency would not be tolerated.

Hon. The royal father assured attendees that the traditional council would contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring a safer environment for all residents.

Addressing the stakeholders, Hon. Akposi stressed the importance of security as the foundation of any thriving society. He called for collective action in tackling insecurity, noting that everyone—citizens, community leaders, and security personnel—has a role to play. “Security is a shared responsibility, and every resident of Akamkpa must be involved in campaigns to combat crime. Our unity and resolve will ensure we can root out criminal elements threatening our peace,” he stated.

The Chairman reiterated his zero-tolerance stance, touching on security issues that span land conflicts, illegal activities in waterways, and other social vices. He expressed his determination to rid the area of unruly elements that compromise the tranquility of Akamkpa. In this regard, Hon. Akposi urged citizens to collaborate with security agencies by providing timely information and staying vigilant.

“Our resolve is clear—we will leave no room for those who disrupt our peace. Together, we must ensure a safe and secure environment for all,” Hon. Akposi concluded, calling on all residents to join him in upholding law and order for the continued growth and prosperity of Akamkpa Local Government Area.
