“Her life is a testament to the virtues of godliness, humanity, and goodwill,” says Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo (Dansuki), reflecting on the First Lady’s journey. “She has been a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration, not just to the women of our state but to all who have had the privilege of feeling her impact.”

Rev. Otu’s commitment to service is evident in the free medical care initiative currently underway in Akamkpa, a project that has brought healing and hope to many. “Healthcare is a right, not a privilege,” she often says, and her actions echo her words, providing much-needed medical attention to those in need.

Her voice has been a clarion call for women’s empowerment, giving rise to a new era where women’s voices are not just heard but revered. “She exudes gracefulness, charisma, and vision,” Dansuki observes, “qualities that have given the women of Cross River State a platform to thrive.”

Supporting her husband, the Governor, Rev. Otu has been instrumental in fostering a balance that is evident across the state. “Together, they are a force for positive change,” Dansuki notes, “bringing about a harmony that resonates with the people.”

As she celebrates this significant birthday, Rev. Otu’s legacy of service continues to imprint a positive energy that sweeps across the state. “Continue to touch lives,” Dansuki urges, “for you are indeed the icing to the season of sweetness.”

In her own words, Rev. Otu shares, “Life is an opportunity to serve, and in serving, we find the true essence of living.” These words encapsulate her life’s work and the indelible mark she has left on the hearts of many.

As we join in celebrating Rev. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu’s 60th birthday, we are reminded of the power of selfless service and the difference one person can make. Her journey is one of love, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity. Happy birthday, First Lady, and may your light continue to shine bright.
