A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Dr. Emmanuel Bekomson has bagged the Community and Social Impact Personality of the Year Award, in recognition and appreciation of his philanthropic gestures, social impact and ultimately, his contributions to the growth and development of the business sector in Cross River State.
According to the organisers of the People-First Enterprise awards, Leaders Den Foundation, the recipient of the award in the Community and Social Impact Personality of the Year Category, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Bekomson, was hugely deserving of the award because his “unwavering dedication, innovation, and resilience, have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the Cross River State business sector.”
The organisers further praised Fr. Bekomson for always deploying every opportunity and platform within his means to promote products of entrepreneurs and create jobs especially, for the youths. “Your job creation, product innovation and community impact have not only enhanced the economic landscape of the State but have also inspired countless entrepreneurs. Your ability to overcome challenges and adapt to changing market dynamics is commendable.”
In a succinct remark, the award recipient, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Bekomson, who is the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar, Cross River State, thanked the organisers for recognising and appreciating his modest efforts at encouraging industry, enterprise and doing his best to create job opportunities for the youths. According to him, “it means my effort is being recognised. For me, it is a massive platform to reach more people and to get more support and acceptance.”
The award presentation which held recently, at the Pear Ball Hall of the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.
