In a resounding vote of confidence, Bishop Wale Oke has been re-elected as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) for a second term. His re-election was endorsed by the PFN Advisory Council during the 18th Biennial Conference held in Abuja on 11th February 2025.

Alongside Bishop Oke, other key national officers emerged, including Dr. Cosmas Ilechukwu as National Deputy President, Bishop David Bakare as National Secretary, Dr. Sam Aboyeji as National Treasurer, and a representative of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) as Internal Auditor, among others.

Bishop Oke first assumed office as PFN President in March 2021 following his initial election, and after successfully completing a four-year tenure, he sought and secured another term to continue steering the affairs of the fellowship.

Confirming the election outcome, the outgoing PFN National Publicity Secretary, Archbishop Emmah Isong, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent in Calabar, lauded the newly constituted leadership.

“These are the frontline leaders of our national executive. They are the ones who will guide the fellowship for the next four years. Everyone is at liberty now to congratulate His Eminence, Archbishop Dr. Wale Oke. We thank God for this outcome,” he stated.

Speaking on the next phase of the fellowship’s leadership structure, Archbishop Isong disclosed that the remaining five executive positions—National Publicity Secretary, National Financial Secretary, Deputy National Secretary, and others—will soon undergo the selection and inauguration process. He noted that their training and induction will unfold over the next four years to ensure continuity in the PFN’s mission.

Meanwhile, the 18th National Biennial Conference of the PFN is set to commence at the Glory Dome, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Airport Road, Abuja, at 4:00 PM tomorrow. The gathering, which coincides with the culmination of a 40-day fasting programme, is expected to be a spiritual turning point for the nation.

“We are calling on all Pentecostals and Nigerians yearning for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit to attend. This is not just another conference—it is a prophetic gathering that will birth a new Nigeria, a nation our children and grandchildren will be proud of,” Archbishop Isong declared.

He further extended congratulations to Bishop Oke, expressing optimism that his leadership will continue to unify and strengthen the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria. Under his stewardship, the PFN has remained steadfast in honouring its founding fathers, deepening relationships among Christian leaders, and fostering unity within the body of Christ.

With a renewed mandate, Bishop Oke and his team are set to consolidate on past achievements, reinforcing the PFN’s role as a spiritual and moral compass in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape.
