As the calendar turns to the final month of the year, the Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government Council, Hon. (Ophot) Felix Akposi KSJI, has released a heartfelt message of gratitude and hope. Reflecting on the blessings of 2024, he expressed deep appreciation to God for His protection, mercies, provision, and guidance that have sustained the people of Akamkpa through the year.

Hon. Akposi acknowledged the peace and stability enjoyed across the local government, attributing it to divine grace. He prayed for God’s love to unite the people, fostering a sense of togetherness and mutual respect as they prepare to enter the New Year. The Chairman also lifted prayers for the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, asking for divine wisdom and strength to guide him in leading the state effectively. He extended similar prayers for members of the state executive and other arms of government, seeking divine direction in their responsibilities.

Encouraging the people of Akamkpa, Hon. Akposi urged them to remain audacious, set achievable goals, and focus on productive ventures that will improve their lives and the community. He warned against violence and social vices, emphasising that progress can only be achieved in an environment of peace and lawfulness.

The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making Akamkpa a hub of investment and development, describing the area as the potential El Dorado of Cross River State. He expressed optimism that with collective efforts and the fear of God as a guiding principle, Akamkpa will prosper and become a model of economic and social transformation.

Hon. Akposi reminded the people that his administration remains people-focused and dedicated to serving their interests. “This administration is for the people, and we are here to serve. Together, with God’s guidance, we will continue to build a better Akamkpa for all,” he said.

As the yuletide season approaches, the Chairman offered fervent prayers for a joyous and peaceful celebration. He asked for God’s protection over everyone during this festive period and a smooth transition into the New Year filled with blessings and opportunities.

In conclusion, Hon. Akposi declared, “May this season renew our strength and commitment to unity, growth, and prosperity. Let us enter the New Year with faith, hope, and a determination to achieve great things for Akamkpa and beyond. Wishing everyone a joyous Yuletide and a prosperous New Year ahead.”
