LOURDES ACADEMY WAS MORE THAN A SCHOOL
For me Lourdes Academy was more than a school, it was a training ground for life itself. The teachers felt like parents. I found purpose in the walls of Lourdes, from teachers who believed in me and held my hands to experiences and opportunities led me into becoming more.
I celebrate Lourdes today because it was more than a school on some days it was home away from home and other days a training ground for the release of all the potentials God deposited on this inside.
From classes , competitions and the environment, Lourdes Academy was a hub for growth and grace on all grounds academically, socially , spiritually and all round.
I’m grateful for Lourdes where quality indeed supersedes quantity.

ATTENDING LOURDES ACADEMY REMAINS THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE
Attending Lourdes Academy was one of the best decisions of my life. It was a wholesome experience I will never forget. Throughout my stay there I grew, not only in wisdom and stature, but also character and love for myself and for others. If there was anyone who enjoyed Benevolence from Lourdes Academy, I was one of them. From the moment I got admitted into the school, till the day I graduated, I was shown love in many ways.

My stay was made pleasant because of the work of the dedicated management and staff of the school, who did their work not only because it was their profession, but did it out of love for every single one of us. Each act of kindness and chastisement was done with love. The atmosphere there is Serene, bustling with life, a good nurturing ground for future leaders. Lourdes academy is truly a place to be.

Even after graduating from this great institution, I still feel it’s impact on me. I remember asking myself before I do somethings; “will Aunty Nancy like this?”, “will Mr Akang agree with this decision?”, “will Ma’am Miriam be happy with this?”. This shows how even my subconscious has picked up the lessons they all taught me about living right. The leadership instilled discipline, while still allowing us to express creativity and individuality.

Today I am pursuing a degree in Criminology and security studies at Miva Open University, Abuja, where I am a 100 level student, after taking a year’s gap where I learnt Forex trading as well as Coding.

Lourdes academy isn’t just a school, but a family, a place that brings out the best in you, where “quality supercedes quantity”, a place to make meaningful and long-lasting friendships and connections, and I am happy to have been there. I am proud to be an alumnus, and I confidently recommend it for any parent or student looking for a place that truly prepares you for life.

I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE MEMORIES, THE FRIENDSHIPS AND FOUNDATION AT LOURDES ACADEMY
From my first day as a student until the day I graduated, the school provided not just academic knowledge, but also the moral guidance, discipline, and support needed for holistic growth.
The dedicated teachers and staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were not only prepared for our examinations, but also for life beyond the classroom. Their patience, encouragement, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on me. I particularly appreciate the values of integrity, hard work, and perseverance that were instilled in us, and which continue to guide me in my journey through life.

I also want to thank the school management for creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment, as well as for the numerous opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities that helped build my confidence and leadership skills.

Looking back, I am truly grateful for the memories, the friendships, and the foundation that my time in school has given me. I carry the lessons I learned with pride and gratitude.

Thank you once again to everyone at LOURDES ACADEMY for your support and dedication. I will always be proud to be an alumnus of this great institution.

MY TIME AT LOURDES ACADEMY
Let me paint you a picture of my time at Lourdes Academy, because that place was a huge part of who I am today. I spent some of the most formative years of my life there, and it was this wild mix of challenges, laughs, and moments that still stick with me.

Walking into Lourdes for the first time felt like stepping into a new world. The environment wasn’t massive, but it had this welcoming energy. There was a big open courtyard where everyone would hang out during breaks, kicking a football around or just chilling under the shade of these huge trees. The library, though? That was my sanctuary. It wasn’t just a room with books; it had these cozy corners where you could lose yourself in a novel or cram for a test with your friends whispering answers back and forth.

The teachers were a mixed bag, but the best ones left a mark. I’ll never forget Madam Miriam who taught English and had this way of making Shakespeare feel like a Netflix series dramatic, messy, and way more relatable than I expected. She’d let us act out scenes in class, and suddenly I wasn’t just reading about Macbeth, I was feeling it. Then there was Mr. Robinson, the math teacher who could explain formulas like it was a puzzle, not a punishment. Sure, there were a few teachers who were a bit strict, but they’d stay late to help you with a concept you weren’t getting or give you advice about life, not just schoolwork. That kind of thing sticks with you.

The vibe at Lourdes was something special. It wasn’t a massive school, so you got to know pretty much everyone in your year, and even some of the younger and older kids. There was this sense of community that made you feel like you belonged. We had these big events that brought the whole school together, like Inter house sports, where the entire place turned into a screaming, cheering chaos of house teams battling it out in relays and sack races.Even the quieter moments, like morning assemblies where we’d sing the school anthem or hear some random motivational speech, made you feel part of something bigger.

Academics were no joke. The school pushed you to think for yourself, not just memorize stuff for exams. We had these group projects that could be stressful but taught you how to work with people, even the ones who drove you up the wall. The exams were tough, especially in senior years, but the teachers prepared us well. By the time I was sitting for my WAEC, I felt ready, not just because I’d studied, but because the school taught me how to handle pressure and intense moments.
What really made Lourdes special was how it shaped you. It wasn’t just about passing exams or winning trophies; it was about growing up. I learned how to stand up for myself, how to work hard even when I didn’t feel like it, and how to laugh through the tough days with friends who became like family. I still keep in touch with a bunch of people from those days, and we always end up reminiscing about the stupid stuff we did—like sneaking snacks into class or missing the general assembly.
Looking back, School gave me more than just an education. It gave me confidence, memories, and a sense of who I could be. It wasn’t a perfect place, but it was real, and it was home for those years. If you’re thinking about a school that’ll challenge you, support you, and make you feel like you’re part of something, Lourdes Academy is the spot. It’s not just a school—it’s where you figure out what you’re made of. As the school motto goes “quality supersedes quantity”.
