Cross River Varsity Appoints Ellah as Media Team Chairman

The University of Cross River State, has appointed Mr. Cornelius Ellah as Chairman of its newly constituted Management Media Team.

The appointment, approved by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Bassey, was formally conveyed in a letter signed by the Registrar of the University, Mr. Victor Ephraim Ene.

Mr. Ellah, who currently serves as the Acting Head of the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, will lead the five-member team tasked with managing the University’s media relations and public communications.

Other members of the team include Dr. (Mrs) Bibiana Ineji and Miss Obangham Etiowo, both from the Department of Journalism and Media Studies; Dr. Cassius Ogar of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Ogoja Campus; and Dr. Michael Ebe Nandi of the Department of Anatomy, Okuku Campus.

According to the Registrar’s letter, the Media Team will serve as the official voice of UNICROSS in all media-related matters, and is expected to promote the University’s image through strategic engagement with the press and the public.

The University Management expressed its full confidence in Mr. Ellah and the team, assuring them of its support as they assume their new responsibilities.

The appointments take immediate effect.
