Under a heavy downpour of rain, the Cross River State Director General of Road Maintenance Agency, Hon. Christopher Ntui hosted the Cross River State House of Assembly Committee on Works for an oversight duty.

The Cross River State House of Assembly Committee on Works, led by their Chairman, Honorable Egbe Abeng Jabengo was not deterred by the weather as they came under rain to oversight ongoing construction projects of the agency.

Speaking at the construction site of the rehabilitation of a ‘Feeder A’ Drainages at parliamentary extension, the committee Chairman, Honorable Egbe Abeng Jabengo reiterated the commitment of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Cross River, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu rewards a total turnaround of the infrastructure deficit in the State.

“You (Director General), must live up to the expectations of Cross Riverians who are going to live with these projects you’re constructing. You must do your best to deliver on a quality job. As a committee, we are here to assist and guide you towards the delivery of standard projects that will outlast the administration of Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of Cross River State.”

The Director General, Honorable Ntui Christopher and the agency’s project engineers concurred the opinions of the oversight committee towards the delivery of standard projects.
The committee visited the rehabilitation of the drainage site at Ndidem Isang Iso by Parliamentary Extension, the construction of a 3 Kilometres Access Road at Asikima in 8 Miles and the Construction of Culverts and a half Kilometre Access Road at Ekorinim.

Hon Egbe Abeng Jabengo is the Chairman of the Committee, Hon (Engr) Thomas Aruku, Hon (Engr) Francis Ogban and Hon Martin Achadu Ph.D are all Members, while Mr. Francis Atsu serves as the committee’s secretary.
