The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has appointed Archbishop Dr Emmah Gospel Isong, General Overseer and Founder of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Calabar, as its National Vice President for the South-South zone.

A letter dated March 27, 2025, and signed by PFN National President, His Eminence Bishop Dr Francis Wale Oke, formally conveyed the appointment to Archbishop Isong. The document, sighted by our correspondent, mandates him to oversee PFN chairpersons and their executives across the six states in the zone—Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce your appointment as National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, South-South Zone,” Oke wrote, underscoring the cleric’s new responsibilities.

The letter charged Archbishop Isong with the task of ensuring that PFN activities in the region align with the national body’s vision and objectives. His portfolio includes spearheading mobilization efforts, overseeing the implementation of the 8th National Executive Council’s Cardinal Agenda, and driving an enhanced membership campaign to attract more genuine Pentecostals into the fold.

Additionally, Isong will supervise the appointment and election processes for State Executive Councils, working closely with the respective State Advisory Councils. The letter further mandates him to collaborate with the National States’ Inauguration Committee in overseeing and representing the National President at the formal induction of newly elected State Executives.

Accepting the appointment, Archbishop Isong expressed profound gratitude to the PFN leadership for the honour bestowed upon him. He pledged to serve with unwavering dedication and commitment.

Until this elevation, Archbishop Isong served as the National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson of PFN. He had previously held the position of State Chairman for the Cross River chapter of the fellowship.
